34 y/o Melissa Benoist got the dream role she ever wanted when she landed the main role as Kara on Supergirl when it first aired on CBS and shot in Los Angeles before moving to Vancouver on the CW for the last following 5 seasons.

After 6 seasons when the CW said this would be the last one, Melissa reflected on her time over the years and how much she bonded with the cast and thanked the network and crew for the most groundbreaking superhero show on the CW.

The series is one of the most diverse in terms of cast as well as casting its first superhero transgender character played by 24 y/o Nicole Maines who joined the show in 2018

Tonight marks the end of Supergirl in the 2 hour series finale where she will try to stop the arch nemesis Lex Luther and his lover alien, Nixly who want the power of the stones to control the world.

Melissa said although it was sad to say goodbye, she isn't opposed to wearing her cape again as Superman and Lois is still on the CW with its sophomore season airing soon..

For now, she is expecting to have a nice break from filming and becoming a mother and hangs up her suit for the last time.

Smallville was pretty fun and Gotham had its moments, but nothing interested me that much (partly because Arrow was its own thing, but also because it looked like garbage)

That was kinda the point of the show, although he "appears" (but isn't seen) at the end.

Honestly, Penguin and Riddler are the real draws, although it takes a while to build into them. I also loved both versions of Scarecrow, and it had an actually sinister version of Mad Hatter.

Joker was cool, too.

She is okay but could never get into it. The show screamed girl power way too loud for my books.

I mean when its done like Hidden Figures, thats great. But this was borderline the newer Charlie's Angels.

I mean that episode where... something, cant remember, happened and everyone went zombie mode, including Superman but not her? Come on, I stopped watching then.

Yeah, we got two versions of him, which was neat because it plays into the multiple choice backstory thing, and they worked in a lot of references (such as his face getting removed then reattached)

It's very clear who he is later on because he has the look. It's a little iffier with their version of Harley Quinn, although she is in a harlequin costume at one point and you just figure from the fact she's Joker's henchgal.

They apparently scripted AND filmed the SuperCorp Kiss, but cut it from the final product; SuperCorp Shippers are taking it as a win anyway.

Melissa and Katie had more chemistry then any of the relationships they tried to shoehorn into the show, and one of those relationships was with her irl husband.

Kinda doesn't make sense, since usually the restrictions are for anybody *besides* Batman and Joker where it comes down to a character by licensing deal (hence no Scarecrow in The Batman).

Not to mention it's crazy they can skirt around it just by not using a name.

LMAO the fact that her show is getting canned while all the other CW supershows are still on the air shows how much of a failure this show is. I could write and direct a better show and I've only had two years of experience with film at a COMMUNITY college.

Gotham isn't a CW show. It was Fox.

While you can do that with a newer show, it's a little hard with a longer-running show. Plus the show itself was probably on the decline so it wouldn't make much sense.

The real shame is that none of the incarnations of Wayward Sisters got off the ground for a Supernatural spinoff. It was the one spinoff that made sense, unlike that shitty ass Bloodlines. (Actually, I guess they could have spun off Ghost Chasers, but it would be too different as a concept.)
