I think I have execution function disorder. I'd say it's pretty serious since the skills I'm lacking are critical but... mmm.

Perhaps related to ADD? Have you gotten it treated?

How can I treat something like this???

I think execution function disorder is tied in with ADD but it's not that. There were certain skills I never developed as a child, and had a awful time with school as a result.

No, I mean that I couldn't handle school because I couldn't control my stress and couldn't focus on stuff. I couldn't talk with other kids either, and this led to me developing and still possessing major self-esteem issues because I couldn't do the same tasks as other kids without having meltdowns.

I wish I had been properly diagnosed sooner. ADHD has caused me so much trouble, and the mechanisms I developed to work around it caused more trouble. Ah well, I'm doing alright now.

There's usually impairment in executive functions for people that have ADD. Have you researched the typical signs of ADD and does it match up with what you are experiencing?

Like inattentiveness, difficulty in concentrating on or task at a time, organizing, following directions, working memory. This will affect how you learn and execute your working memory.

What you are dealing with could be ADD or something else or a combination.

Nowadays, ADD is just called ADHD and it's divided into 3 categories. Hyperactivity, inattentiveness, or a combination of the first two. You can take some tests online, by they are by no means meant as a diagnosis.

https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/adhd/facts.html

I think you should make an appointment with a psychiatrist for a diagnosis. They might prescribe you Adderall, which really helps. I got diagnosed recently and I can attest to it. If you have ADD, usually it starts early from childhood

I feel like I have ADD. I am easily distracted and often start one task without completely finishing the task Im working on. I also have trouble staying organized. My brain in general is just scattered and I have a lot of thoughts going on at any given time.

Ive taken Adderall a few times and I find myself 10 times more productive when I have it. Ive never tried to get a prescription because Im nervous the doctor will think Im trying to abuse it.

Yes. I have severe anxiety, panic disorder, depression and paranoia. I cannot afford any type of mental health treatment whatsoever and I feel completely stuck. I went broke trying different sliding scale therapists/psychiatrists and medication has only made things worse for me.

I don't know what to do at this point. It's ruined my life and is getting in the way of what little, foolish ambitions I have.

You should go to a psychiatrist and get it diagnosed. It's really helped my focus and prioritizing tasks and memory retention.

I wouldn't bring it up that you took it before. They will ask questions that you have agree and disagree on, and if you have any addictions. This could alter if you are put on stimulants or non stimulants.

Yeah, anxiety (diagnosed). I've done therapy through my 20s but it doesn't really help. Most of the time I can just handle it, however sometimes the physical symptoms get too much, so I will just take valium for a few weeks til it subsides.

I have ADHD, I probably should have mentioned that. And Aspergers.

Medications aren't the answer to everything, and my mental problems now go beyond simply biological into stuff like self-esteem issues. It can't be fixed via chugging drugs.

I have a psychiatrist, he's useless and doesn't understand the other problems.

Mom also says that I took Metadate when I was younger and it did nothing.

It's the name of a Discord server. That's all I will say.

This was apparently shown on that server. I'd have to find it there...

EDIT: Oh, now I know why. It's "telling of CE" that a majority has mental disorders. Take a guess as to what they mean, UT.

I think these are the only actually true things that I know off the top of my head. They lean right and I know that they were hesitant to take the vaccine. Thing is, a bunch of them are vaccinated now though, they were on the "not FDA approved" train. But that changed.

Definitely, but its nothing I cant deal with. Idk if addiction counts, but I have an extremely addictive personality and I have to constantly struggle to stay sober (although Im doing well).

I also deal with depression and anxiety (like most people seem to), which is getting much better since over been getting better quality sleep after quitting marijuana, which was blocking my REM sleep.

I also am prone to extreme anger, but I have pretty much got full control over it. Some family members have the same thing and their tendency is to constantly act on it. Slamming stuff around and screaming themselves hoarse. I identified this behavior as something that I never want to be and strive to conquer it. Breaking $60+ game controllers and stuff like that is unacceptable and I pride myself on internalizing anger instead of lashing out.

I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, but thanks to a well-managed course of medication and therapy I have it mostly under control. Basically just always hear the sound of quiet talking from a room or two over, so pretty easy to ignore at this point besides brief moments where it gets louder.
