The vtuber subreddit is making me a bit nauseous about the nux situation lol... I mean I don't like the guy and will probably never watch him in the future regardless, but it's kinda sickening how people are so willing to accept literal speculations with no backing if it supports their goal. There is a legit post from the CEO of Vshojo himself to explain the whole situation and how it went completely wrong (which hilariously also had to be edited because it included a misinformation that put nux at a bad light LOL).

Basically, the vid nux posted was about him and an indie vtuber being a victim of a doxxing attempt by somebody using the Vshojo domain spoofed. The most conversation nux and vshojo had were confirmation that it was not them, and that they're working with the same cybersecurity team to track them down.

The cybersecurity team was the one that was in constant contact with Nux and even encouraged his video, even getting him to halt the release for an hour so they can work with Vshojo to write a thank you and other addendum statement on the situation as they were involved. Basically, at no point was Nux ever strictly told not to post the video.

In fact, the only person who strictly told nux not to post it was nux's brother, who was worried the attack on nux would get worse, though the brother obviously didn't see this sorta situation coming. You can see from the discord messages that nux basically didn't care if he would be harassed by the doxxers if he posted the vid, but at no point did anybody advising the video editing process consider other aspects to posting a video like this

To make matters worse, in the first place, the Vshojo girls all piled on nux because Nyatasha posted that long comment condemning this video she had no idea about. There was 0 communication to the girls because Vshojo runs their company much like how Gyari does, aka do whatever the f you want. So without all the information, the girls were all allowed to make their own cancel post without all the facts, which sparked the whole situation. Considering how vital Nyatasha was to the start of the org, it's amazing how in the dark she was about the whole thing.

So yeah, I mean he really should've just not made the video in the first place, but turns out something like this shouldn't be blamed entirely on a single person. Really bad look for Vshojo. I dunno if I can stomach watching either nux or vshojo ever again, not that I distinctly went out of my way to watch them in the first place.

And yeah this is the last post I'm gonna do for it. Had to vent cuz I literally posted facts straight from the CEO's post and other screenshots, and I got downvoted to hell because I wasn't on the cancel nux and nobody else train. These people literally know like 3 words, and one of them is "cancel" and one of the other is "vtubers" I guess

Best I can tell, that's because... that's what he likes. He seems to encourage his audience to stir up drama for him to enjoy or get people to "cancel" him.

my two cents is that Nux's given me bad vibes every time a video's turned up in the recommendation feed (I gather that it's with the best intentions but like...it's been dramabaiting and thirstbaiting -every- time one's come up) and Vshojo is too thirsty for my tastes.

I'm sure they're all nice(ish) people but I'mma stay on the holo side of the rabbithole. I'm just here to listen to weird anime girls be weird in ways that roughly parallel my interests >.>

They've been going after unarchived karaoke clips lately, couple of people got their channels nuked. Assuming it's causing them issues. I think Calli and Mumei re-broadcast theirs once in a while.

Edit: Well, I say that, and that's what I've heard/seen, but I don't know that it's legitimately the reason.

well, Hololive Sings went down but people are speculating that's more a matter of brand infringement than just unarchived karaoke. Outside of that I can't think of any of the usual suspects that've had issues except some of the speedclipper types

Saw a clip of that and realized she just added a green tint filter on top (you can see when her hair dips down and the blue streaks turn green). Obviously not going to make a modification to the base model, just found it interesting that she can do color changes like that since the rest of her is mostly white and won't react to the filter.
