Bubba haters hate him because he's black and said something when everyone was shoving microphones in his face. The noose incident was entirely justified given the backlash he was facing at the time. Some jackass tied a pull into a noose the previous season and it unfortunately was a stall assigned to Bubba the next time. A terrible coincidence. Bubba has stood up for NASCAR fans against the redneck stereotype and has always been extremely grateful for his opportunity. He has always been open about his mental health struggles which isn't usually the case with athletes. He has faced racism, but he keeps going and still loves the sport and the fans. Even when he won, another driver was scored the winner. They "found out" later that he actually won by 2 laps.
