I saw it years ago with someone but we were both drunk, and she just kept talking through it, so I never really experienced it. I remember not thinking much of it.
With Spider-Man No Way Home coming I thought I'd give this movie another shot. It was decent, moments of fun. You will never be able to convince me that Garfield-Parker is a teenager, same way Tobey could never pull it off. It came out in the same year as the Avengers, must be tough rebooting Spidey when the MCU was doing this cool team up. I think the MCU gets a lot of crap for having a villain problem but the Lizard is also pretty generic, actually most comic book movies are lame one and dones. He was alright, had some cool moments but I feel he could have had a better fight with Parker. I also get why MCU skipped Peter's origin story, this plus Tobey-Parker AND MCU spidey would have been overkill. All in all it was ok, not bad, not great. Could have built to something nice (but didn't). I actually think Tom Holland makes the best Parker but the MCU is too new and popular for people to admit that ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's alright. Not outstanding in anyway, but it's serviceable enough. I will say, it does have probably one of the best Stan Lee scenes.

I think this would compete with the low tier mcu movies.
It would be nice to see MCU spidey get a physically strong villain soon. ... Copied to Clipboard!
