Is that just for chumps because you have unlimited lives? Also I see that I can buy the bow n arrow but would it replace my sword? Holding the attack button charges a dash attack, but the real advantage of doing this is that it raises the shield and blocks all attacks from the front, and you can pivot the shield to block in any direction. Some of my favorite gods are Nature Queen, thunder God, God of War and god of the sea. Though I tend to take boons from gods that suit the weapon well. For example if I take the bow I will get Poseidon's boon that enhances the primary attack so that all of my shots have knockback. If I have the fists I'll go for backstab mirror perks and relics and perks that add crit. If I get the shield I will get boons that apply debuffs (ares, Aphrodite and Dionysus) and buffs that help me tank hits head on like the damage reduction from Aphrodite and Athena. Aphrodite may seem to have some of the least appealing boons but her ability to weaken enemies especially when used as an area of effect is really useful. Also she has some of the best boon fusion synergies with other gods (check the wiki for a list of all the boon fusions). Using purple darkness to upgrade mirror perks, using keys to unlock all weapons and all mirror perks.
