She gets a nice place to live and enough money that they can order food in every day (because from various things DSP has said, it seems clear that they are constantly ordering food in). She seems like she's in a bad place in her life and doesn't want much more than this.

It sounds as if it was the same as any other day off: they went shopping and ate out several times. The only difference was that he got to watch a wrestling PPV.

It just occured to me that Phil never has an "average/normal" day.

He always ALWAYS has hardships on any given day. He has to pay bills, it's too hot, his take-out got messed up, something went wrong or broke, etc.

And these are just normal occurances for anyone else, but to Phil they are tremendous obstacles.

Oh and if you are facing ACTUAL hardships, you are just a troll. Phil has it worse, always.

DSP being the most prolific content creator is the very definition of quantity over quality. Why should he be recognized for that? His content is unwatchable. I mean, if someone wants to see a let's play of a specific game, they are going to make it maybe 10 minutes into one of his videos before they give up and look for one that isn't full of disgusting phlegm noises and constant interruptions in gameplay to talk about money.

It's a mix of self-aggrandizing and damage control. He has to say stuff like that because he constantly, rightly, gets accused of being toxic, but it's also just to make him feel good about himself, like when Dave Rubin keeps congratulating himself on creating a space for opposing views to meet.

If that had been pretty much any other regular viewer/paypig, DSP would have shit all over them and probably blocked/banned them. But because it's a guy who has received recognition for his work in gaming accessibility, DSP has to settle for a draw while still calling himself intelligent despite obviously losing the argument.

It's not even that he respects SBM for his work in the gaming medium, he just gives donations to Phil. At least I think he does.

I don't understand SBM. Unlike most of DSP's paypigs, he seems to have ambition and more than half a brain. He comes across as a bit entitled at times, but he generally seems like an okay guy who cares about making gaming more accessible to blind people. So what the hell does he see in DSP? What does he get out of dropping money on a man whose only ambition is to maintain his lifestyle through ceaseless begging?
