My apartment is facing a dense woods and thus there's many insects around. I have a phobia of basically all of them.

I'm already going to buy some barrier tape since it basically looks like they're getting in through corners of the windows and under the front door. Will spraying the outside of those boundaries also help, or is that a waste?

It can help, but weather will wash it away in time. Boric acid is good to dust into the cracks of window sills. You can do that on both the outside and inside.

Bug spray doesnt deter them, it masks your scent from them. So probably not. You could get products specifically for that, or if you dont mind keeping up with some plants, Lavander and a few other plants are natural repellents that DO deter them.

Byfan I think its called, or something of the sort don't know how dangerous that stuff is for the environment or for the person but that it works? Ive heard of good results with that.
