MrMallard 08/06/21 3:21:54 AM #1:	https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-08-06/the-olympics-will-have-first-transgender-medalist-canada-quinn/100354140 basically, the mid-fielder of Canada's soccer team is an openly transgender and non-binary person who goes by a single name - Quinn. Whether Canada wins or loses, they're going to medal along with their team. That makes Quinn the first trans athlete to medal at the Olympic Games. I'm happy for them! And going forward, I hope more trans people are given the opportunity to represent their countries at events like the Olympics or the Commonwealth Games. --- But I don't have to make this mistake, and I don't have to stay this way. Though I will say - she got beaten by an Aussie at this Olympics, which is a matter of national pride lol. Saying that, Ladecky has set swimming world records and gone on to break them later on.
