Not unless I see people dying in the streets will I be afraid.

But its not just sickness, in general I am not really afraid of death because theres so many ways for people to die and if I sit there worrying about every way I could possibly die I would be miserable.
Also maybe it wouldnt be that bad to die, its not like any woman would miss me.

Yeah but lots of people down your way refuse to get vaccinated which ensures more variants which may mean the current vaccines are useless before long.

The stupidity of so many people scares me. The idea this will never end because of those idiots scares me. The disease itself never really scared me so much, but it is definitely concerning in and of itself.

In a general sense, yes. Like I fear car accidents and death.

But in the same way it doesn't affect my thinking or behavior all that much. I'm probably more afraid of more shutdowns, which is kinda sad when you think about it.

I'm more scared of the people who deny it, refuse the vaccines, won't wear masks than I am of the disease itself. That these people have substantial influence in the world to me is the most frightening thing.

You realize the new variants are hitting younger people harder than previous ones, right?

And even back in the day there was a risk of death or permanent lung damage even for young and healthy people. It was very very small... now its still small but the risk to the young seems to be growing with every new variant.

That doesn't mean I'm not going to do what I can to avoid it though.

It's a bit like car accidents, I don't not drive incase I have a crash, I just take whatever measures I can to avoid one.

I envy you, I genuinely do. I just see how people have handled this pandemic (and years in the service industry) and I always assume the worst in people.

I hope to rekindle my optimistic worldview one day, but that's not gonna be any time soon, I'd wager.

It is sorta nice tbh. Sure I'm constantly being disappointed in people, but thats a trade off imo.

Its not like I've made an effort to be positive in that regard though... maybe I'm just a really slow learner.

No, not scared. My friends, immediate family and myself are all vaccinated. I've also been extremely careful and have yet to test positive, even with a year of weekly testing (through my job)

But my mind is blown by how crazy this entire situation has been. When it first started popping up in the news, never did I imagine that it would cause the entire world to go into lockdown, our that it would continue to be a problem for well over a year.

No. I have a good immune system on top of being fully vaccinated.

Going to the gym again too, so Im sure that helps.
