I prefer potplayer to VLC because the hotkeys with it jive with me more. I don't think it's better than VLC though although it's a very good lightweight video player.

I've never heard of potplayer before but I was under the impression that VLC has basically been the laughingstock of video players for the past decade or so , which makes this a not very flattering comparison
