Reddit no longer has a useful purpose for it.
It's no different than Patreon/Tumblr/Deviantart/etc. porn purges. "Wild west" until you've built an audience large enough to attract mainstream advertisers, then kick out everyone who built that audience for you.

I never really visited that sub so I don't know how toxic it was, but I don't have a problem with the MGTOW concept.

Yeah, that place is incredibly toxic & sexist, but it's the female side so they get a pass.

Happy and sad. Happy that it got banned for what it most definitely was, sad that for some fucking reason men can't seem to make a self-help place without it becoming a toxic fucking cesspool.

It's not quite as bad as some of its male equivalents and I recall its mods attempting to cleanup some of the shitposting that goes on there.

Doesn't seem anything like MGTOW on the front page from my brief glance. It's more similar to PussyPassDenied I guess? Even then not really.

A fundamental difference between the two is that MGTOW have the belief that all women are shitty. FDS seems to be more about not accepting or tolerating shitty men. But I'm basing this solely on what I am seeing right now.

Its kind of similar in terms of the overall "Incel" mindset, because both basically think they should be entitled to their dream mate who will do everything for them and they don't need to put any effort into providing their 1/2 of a relationship. Though FDS seems capable of keeping themselves under control a little better. Whereas it takes very little for a sub like MGTOW to get completely carried away with the actual vile ****.

(this is why why things like FDS and MGTOW seem like they'd be a perfect fit for each other, but hate each other anyways - they basically both act like they want the same one, but neither are interested in anything less than the relationship being 100/0 in terms of who contributes)

But MGTOW was quarantined like 2 years ago, I wonder what happened to finally get them to delete it? TD only finally got deleted because the idiots there just went to a different website (one that they had to make themselves, turns out they're too big of a snowflake to hang out with regular alt-right nutcases)
