the term "criticism" is sometimes used as an antonym of "praise", but it's extremely reductive to frame professional criticism as though it's nothing but people who say negative things about a given work.

engaging with media, having something interesting to say about it, and articulating that in writing, is a skill that not many people can do well.

Criticism is important but you guys are drastically over valuing it. It's infinitely easier to criticize a thing than to create a thing.

No one's trying to feed the concept of "difficulty" into this argument except you.

One of the first critics of any work is its editor.

Imagine how many books, TV shows, movies, etc. would have failed if the editor hadn't refined what was originally created?

Star Wars for example, was saved in the editing process.
