My room is already a furnace when playing anything taxing in the summer. Might as well just be on fire with these.

For as much shit as the RTX 2000 series got, they were vastly more power efficient than the newer stuff

My card already takes that much, in fact it's recommended that it's run on a 900+ watt PSU

I believe it, my RTX 3080 already chugs 350W if at full power (though I should add the version I have has the highest power limit of any 3080)

Apparently my card (2070 Super) uses 230W at absolute peak

I already don't like my electric bill when I have it on a lot so those cards are gonna be a hard pass from me dawg

This is why I have my PC in the back (storage) room, with HDMI cords routed through the ceiling for displays in the front (man cave) room.
It's old, and only has a 500w PSU, but it heats the whole man cave already. I finally moved it to the storage room, where it keeps my crap warm. Not me.

It says a lot that you could get a 90W variant of an RTX 2080 in a laptop that matched a 1080 Ti in performance, but it takes a 165W RTX 3080 laptop GPU to even approach a desktop 2080 Ti.
