kidney stone for me as well.

Pain free life mostly. But I did have a kidney stone maybe 5 years ago.

That was awful.

2nd worst was probably a cracked impacted wisdom tooth like 20 years ago.

I did get kicked in the balls once by a mule. Now, I thought I would be hurting for the rest of my life. But you know what happened the very next week? My momma died. Hell, after that, I didnt care no more about my balls hurting

Split one of my fingers in half when I was a kid. Heavy heavy door shut on it.

Have nerve issues in neck and shoulder, feels like someone following me around and stabbing me with a fork at random intervals through out the day.

Runner up is getting the local for my vasectomy. Had to do it twice because I could still feel the cauterization during the procedure. Really don't recommend having a needle stabbed into your scrotum.

When I first started having chrons symptoms I remember it feeling like I had a razor blade going through my insides. That was when I was 17.

I've never broken anything and I'm in general really careful.

I get cluster headaches so those. But I remember one specifically a year or so ago that was the worst one ever. I've never experienced pain like that before and I hope I never do again. At the time I was 35 and I was out on the deck at my parents house while I was visiting them rolling around and screaming.

Diverticulitis.

2 months in hospital on morphine and fentanyl and oxy while they tried to figure it out. Went down to 123lbs and was in agony the whole time. I was on so many pain killers they kept me in the hall in case I overdosed and I was still in a world of pain.

When I was a kid playing tag I ran jaw first into the tail portion of a stone dolphin statue at full speed in my school playground. Didn't see it because I turned my head at the time behind.

Afterward the Teachers just me me to go rest in the principles office where I walked to and crying my eyes out then and for the rest of the day.

Sciatica (twice) was bad but the second time I learned a heating pad (on doctors advice) works wonders.

Pleurodesis. They slice open your side so they can stick a tube in and spray an irritant inside your chest so that the lung with the hole in it scars to the chest cavity, preventing air from escaping. I was on Fentanyl, which is 50-100 times stronger than Morphine, and it still hurt so bad that I could barely breathe.

Gallstone clogged up my gall bladder duct. Happened a couple times. Only lasts a few hours but it's a few hours of your whole middle torso in extreme pain no matter what you do.

This. I used to get one every few months until I eventually got an accurate diagnosis and had my gall bladder removed. Special mention goes to charlie horses too. They may only last a few seconds but the intensity is crazy.

Needed a shot in my ass for an illness many years ago. The pain was unbearable and made walking a nightmare. Only thing worse than that was a throat illness I had, made me cry when I felt my mouth split open from inside.

Oh on a non medical note I once tried some of that mad dog number 9 plutonium straight off a spoon...

That was fucked. I've been hit by a bus, nailed my hand to a floor joist, broken my wrist, has a machine tear my leg open to the point you could see bone and muscle, and had a scaffolding plank thrown at my head from 12 feet off the ground... none of them were nearly as bad as trying that fucking hot sauce.

In terms of sheer pain, it's a close race between having shingles and when I had a cyst get super infected that needed immediate lancing and they couldn't numb the area and had to squeeze all the stuff out of it for 10 minutes.

Ooooooh i forgot about that. I had an infected spider bite they had to Lance and shit that hurt. A lot. Its a close third behind diverticulitis almost killing me and the damn 9 million scolville hot sauce.

I had colon surgery a few months ago...had around 12" of it removed.

Later that day, my surgeon comes to my room and tells me I'm on a clear liquid diet and I can have broth, tea, jello. I can see on the board that it states 'clear liquid diet'.

A short while later, the surgeon in charge (running the floor, not the one to do my surgery) enters and tells me I'm on a liquid diet, not clear liquid. I say, "My surgeon said clear liquid" and was told it was okay. Updated. So I order a milkshake and soup.

About 30 minutes after I eat, the pain begins. I cannot begin to describe just how badly my guts hurt. For the next 6 hours, no matter how I sat or laid down, it felt like my abdomen was getting beaten with a bat. I couldn't help but to cry out non-stop for all those hours. They give me shots of dilauded as well as pills. Finally, I'm so drugged I start to pass out and let me tell you, fever dreams from drugs are real.

Okay, so the next day comes along and I don't want to eat anything at all. I tell the SiC what happened and she said, at least drink your Ensure. They give it to me with my meds...promise it'll be okay and against my better judgment, I dink it. 30 minutes later I begin another 6 hour pain episode like the day before. I HATED that SiC. lol.

All told, I was in the hospital for nearly a month.

Cut my big toe in half and was awake when they shoved needles in the open part deep into my foot to numb it. Then they dug in to pull my cut tendon out to reattach it.. it snapped in my sleep a few nights later and couldn't be reattached.

Are you talking about pain proceeding surgery? I had ACL surgery last year and hardly had any pain at all. I even I only took one or two of the opiods they gave me.

My entire labor experience, from shoving a foley bulb into my fully closed cervix to induce labor, to the horrible contractions that felt like my insides were being ripped apart, to my doctor shoving his hands up my still bleeding and sore cervix to forcibly break my water. All the while getting antibiotics in my arm that felt like it was burning the entire time. Then the recovery from my c section where I could barely move or breathe without intense pain. But heres a baby to try and breastfeed right after all that trauma kthxbye

I've been lucky on a pain scale. I really badly sprained my foot (entire foot turned black after 24 hours). That was 18 years ago and it still aches now and then

Most intense pain: accidentally spilling hot boiling water over myself.

Longest pain session: getting a 12 8 inch tattoo on my back.

I developed what's known as a felon infection on my left index finger tip. It swelled to I'd say about an inch? Anyway, I went to an urgent care twice trying to get it dealt with because I basically couldn't use that hand. The second time, they lanced and expressed it which HURT like hell. You'd think, "It's just someone squeezing your finger, it can't hurt that bad," but it does. Holy shit it does.

That was six years ago and I still freak out whenever one of my fingertips gets a little tender or red. The cuticle on that finger actually detached on the swollen side and now it's lopsided.

Clogged catheter after my c-section was pretty bad. So was vaginal childbirth.
