I am black. I do not view police favorably. Not even from just a they target black people standpoint. The police overall have a lack of standards and repercussions that let them act like a gang.

However, if you ask me if I want police around, no shit I do. The alternative to having shit cops, them being gone, is much worse.

So asking me do you support defund the police? Or Do you feel like police should be in your neighborhoods? doesnt address the main question. Which is also my stance.

I see since the other topic didnt go the way of those that think all cops are bad guys had to make another topic turning it into a hypothetical instead of real case. Convienent since a hypothetical doesnt have video footage.

For those that werent in that topic it started off as a incomplete story making out a cop planted drugs in a car. (And thats what the passengerw video footage made it look like) Real story (from body can footage) he had the driver out of the car searching him and found a empty plastic bag and he tossed it in the car. Worse thing he question what had been in the bag in a less than polite tone and explain to dude he tossed it in thr car cause he didnt wanna hold it.

Overall? I don't know. I think overall we want police to exist, but we want them to do their jobs properly. We want crooked cops to be punished for their crimes, not protected. No cops are bad, crooked cops are bad. We want good cops, and the current system makes that impossible.

Indeed, people don't like high amounts of crime. Which is why we get upset when a cop commits a crime and walks.
