I base it off the people I live around alongside the fact that information suggests that we aren't even a bottom 10 state in the country when it comes to literacy and education.

you've got france with it's perpetual 9-10% unemployment rate

Yeah I guess you're right. It must be difficult to look over and see people being killed by police, tossed into for profit prisons, or dying in mass shootings and live with the fact that they cant have that in their country

Recognizing what other countries do better and getting people to realize that we can and should be doing better isn't a bad thing. Admitting your country is shit is the first step to making it not shit.

You just seem hesitant to admit that things are fucked, which isn't uncommon. If your worldview depends on it, that can be a big step to make.

something i have no problem doing, our health care system is very poor for the average american. Our police and prison reform systems are terrible. Our two party system allows corruption and incompetence to floruish. Just like i have no problem recognizing what we do better. Something you struggle immensely with and once you're faced with any facts that don't fit your false narrative you immediately shut down and try to change the conversation and force more false narratives because you can't actually support what you believe.

But I get it when your worldview revolves around seeking validation from the lowest common denominator, you'll just parrot what you read in a tweet and never wonder if it was even true to begin with.

They officially made it to where kids can pass a class with a 50%. Yeah, Id have to say we are up there. Anything below 70% and you should be retaking the class next year (thats how it was when I was growing up).

I don't know about dumbest, but we're definitely the most willfully ignorant people in the first world, something that's amplified by the fact that we're also obnoxiously loud and refuse to be even remotely critical of our country due to American exceptionalism being deeply ingrained in our "education".
