If you don't know, it's a hard optional fight where you can only fight this guy with Sheena. Sheena is without a doubt the worst party member in Tales of Symphonia and is hard to control. Her attacks are slow as fuck, have a wonky range, and don't do a lot of damage >_> She's mostly a debuffer with an occasional super strong attack that she can use once every 30 years. You also can't cheese this fight with items, so you're pretty much fucked unless you grinded Sheena silly >_>

I love Sheena both as a character and for her glorious rack, but fuck this fight lol

This is one of those fights where you're technically supposed to wait until you get 10x Exp and then just cheese by being overleveled.

but she is barely better than him but she is the second fastest party member only outspeeded by Llyod
her attacks main issue is that they dont combo well and her better tecs tend to end in a knockdown ending any combo before they can really get started which hurts her melee capabilities

if you are playing on ps3 or steam they do let you customize the characters a bit more and there is now a decent summoner sheena build that can make her more useful than she originally was

Honestly I never had trouble with this fight, but that may have to do with me unironically enjoying playing as her.

My tip is to have Sheena be near overlimit before the fight starts. Getting the speed boost as Sylph is nice for avoiding his attacks. (Or use Volt to be cruel)

For me it was a lot of Auto Auto Auto, Power-Life-Demon Seal.

That said yeah, Sheena lacking good combo finishers is awful. Knockdowns are bad for keeping up the damage, and her techs aren't powerful like Presea's Beast to make up for it.

yeah she can spell cancel but cheesing isn't as fun

and i think they patched spell canceling in the PS3 version

It always bothers me when random weapons, especially joke weapons, are notably stronger than like story important ones. It isn't as bad as Sheena, but Lloyd and the Material Blades...you might use those for like 30 minutes before they are outclassed.

Yeah the Material Blades are cool as shit, but they're not even in the Top 5 strongest weapons for Lloyd lol

I'm of the mind that the 70 extra thrust damage for 30 less slash damage plus Falcon's Crest puts the Material Blades aboves the Fans.

Which, incidentally, puts them at number 5 when accounting for Nebilim.
