It the saitama fans that are weird. Saitama is still unproven character. His best feat is still the deflecting surface wiping attack after all these years. Im tired of waiting for the damn garou vs saitama fight in the manga. Murata always upgrade the feats from webcomic so im expecting upgrade for saitama.

I dont remember that at all.

Boros attacked and attacked, while Saitama just looked... bored. Maybe disappointed, if not bored. Even Boros realized it, but only at the very end. Its why he gave that speech about never really standing a chance, despite all and his power and accomplishments as a galactic conqueror. He had an epiphany about how little that meant to Saitama, who showed Boros what true power is.

I wish people would watch the video I posted on this because it was very well done but I know no one will actually watch it. No one knows who will win between Saitama and Goku. We do not know what Saitama is fully capable of yet. Also, the idea that he is a gag character is compete BS. Especially when you get later into the series. That is why you can only use feats.

As of right now Goku has displayed better feats. Does that mean he is stronger than Saitama? Not necessarily. We just dont know how strong Saitama truly is. He doesnt have the feats that match up to Goku yet however, he hasnt went all out either. We simply dont know.

Most people probably don't keep up with One Punch, and only know the character from the start(or vs topics like this where people keep making the same argument because of memes, or w.e), which is admittedly is a gag character.

Also what's with the boner over Saitama on these forums? Nothing he's ever done comes close to a lot of Dragonball characters, let alone Goku himself.

And the gag excuse makes no sense. If you're making a versus topic, those narratives shouldnt be included. If you did, what's stopping people from saying Goku wins everything because he breaks limits. Or Superman wins because he's as strong as he needs to be?

If you're gonna say that then theres absolutely no point in doing a versus argument. How are you ever going to compare two fictional characters power if you're just basing it on narrative and not feats?

As soon as I finished Season 1 a few years ago, OPM became one of my favorite shows because of its hilarious take on the superhero genre. Saitama is a protagonist who can obliterate any opponent with a punch - by design, he cannot lose a fight. He also can't handle spicy foods, can't beat most people in video games, can't easily make friends, can't find anything better than a dumpy apartment to live in, can't regrow his hair (and is very self-conscious about it), and can't seem to convince most people that his heroic exploits are actually his. Hell, the reason he decided to first pursue superheroism is because he couldn't find a respectable job, despite multiple failed attempts.

The drama and entertainment of OPM is not derived from Saitama's fights, but from his struggles to fit in, gain recognition, make friends, and find purpose in his life despite being the strongest fighter in all creation. That's the whole joke, and that's what makes the show so good and Saitama himself so relatable.

So yeah, by his very design, Saitama would beat anyone (including Goku) in a fight, but he'd also lose to them in just about anything else because he's a big goofy loser like that.

So yeah, not to be sarcastic but all you did was take his universes lore and narrative into account and nothing else.

Again, on one hand you have a character who breaks his limits constantly until he wins. The other is a character who is already at endgame level based on his own universe rules.

See how if you only take into account the rules and narrative of ones lore and not their respective feats based in their universe, a versus fight doesnt work?

It's not a bad video but it leaves out some crucial details. Predominantly that Saitama defeats everyone with nonchalant punches because Saitama's first punch is aimed to be as weak as possible. Saitama doesn't fight to test his strength or anything like that. He fights in a way designed to prolong his fights as much as possible. Suggesting that SSB Goku can OHKO someone like Raditz as a kind of equivalence to Saitama's power is wrong. If Goku wanted to go easy on Raditz he could. Saitama can't go easy on his opponents. Or rather the easiest he can possibly go still results in a OHKO.

So if Saitama's story is being told in reverse, then instead of looking at the strongest feats to compare the two of them, you really have to compare their weakest feats to understand where their minimum power lies and extrapolate from there.

The same would happen with Goku. He'd let Goku beat him up a bit, then flex a little, Goku goes to his full power (UI Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan KKx20 or whatever the fuck it is these days) and then;

If so, he puts it all into that one tap and blows him apart. Goku isnt like Boros, if he gets splattered hes not going to regen.

And Goku is probably going to let Saitama give a solid hit to see how strong he is. Goku always wants to fight people who are stronger. He might try the old cross arm block, but its not like that would do much.

And no, Goku wouldnt destroy the planet under him for a cheap win, or ki transport him into the middle of space or anything like that. It just wouldnt happen with him.

They dont have to kill each other, but someone has to get knocked out or tap out.
