Nothing too bad, they did the old "soap in mouth" as a punishment one time and the brand/quantity they used one time caused me to throw up. They didn't do it again after that.

Dad tried to murder me. Was loading his gun to shoot me when mom and me fought it away from him. So instead he decided to beat me to death and I got tackled to the ground with him on my chest. We brawled for a bit until he started strangling me. The only thing I could do was punch him in the face, but he wasn't easing up.

Mom's was at the same time. Instead of helping me, she started trying to block my punches and hold my arms down, telling me not to fight it. I don't remember how I broke free, but once I did I called 911 and he calmed down.

They used me against each other. I was 12 and watching cartoons. They had recently separated. My dad came by to grab me and drove me in silence to a bar. I had no clue what was going on. He walked me to a large glass window where you can see inside and pointed to my mom at a slot machine. Told me about her gambling addiction and how much money she lost. My mom saw us and came storming out to scream at him and tell me about how he cheated. Then my dad dropped me off back home like nothing happened.

I was also physically and verbally abused a lot but I was older. As a child, I think this scarred me the most.

besides body shaming me when i was chubby, they were pretty good.

I actually had a pretty solid upbringing in general.

I can pick out two things I'd change as a youth - my parents should have gotten onto me more for upkeep of my teeth (I was not very good about that for a while and definitely paid for that)

My mom spent far too much time being an enabler for my younger brother. As a result of that, it took him a long time to really grow up and take responsibility for anything he wanted to buy

Mom is mostly fine. She has her moments though, and I'm victim to gaslighting and manipulation from her, but she's not nearly as bad. We usually get along wonderfully, and I love her very much despite the bad.

Dad though, he's been awful my entire life. Almost all of my mental issues are because of him(and mom to a degree too, but usually just her backing him up to avoid abuse herself). He once again nearly died a couple months ago, and I honestly didn't feel anything.

My dad did a bunch of awful shit. Taught me what not to do.

The one time I did a whole bunch of funny answers for my religion test, teacher immediately went and tattled to him, on the way home I believe it was youre fucking up your life. I think I was 14.

Probably around 10 or so we were at Sam Goody, was just tired that day and I remember him asking me what was wrong. Just said I was tired. Dont remember what else happened but he like smacked the hat off my head and I was so scared haha I just let the hat sit there and he yelled at me to pick it up.

He had this crazy thick leather belt he would use. Itd be like 2 rooms from my brother and he could always hear it.

Father was divorced because he was getting drunk, and high instead of taking care of his role. My mom married his best man from the wedding, who is an abusive redneck. My dad half assed appearances in my life. Remarried another seven fucking times, and my mom let him not pay child support. My autism and depression, also comes from his side of the family. I hope his death is painful.
