Doesn't it just over-complicate everything? I've met so many nonbinary folk who just seemed like weird chicks that had no inherently masculine traits. I'll admit I have met some, generally biological males, who do seem very uniquely nonbinary, but the majority not so much.

Don't the majority of humans have some blend of masculine and feminine traits? Is it just an aim to break away from social constructs? Is it a feeling?

Types like her are terrible for the movement and persist entirely based off of the community's grand sense of acceptance and refusal to question a person's identity.

They are surely not the majority though.

I think that gender just genuinely is complicated sometimes. Clearly the existence of transgender people shows that your identified gender doesn't always match your body. If that's the case, then I can easily imagine people who feel an equal identification with each gender, or people who feel out of place with both. If it's anything like transgender people, I think it's a deep feeling from within, rather than a glib label for androgynous people.

Which isn't saying that there AREN'T people who use it glibly -- just that I think there are genuine cases of people who feel like they don't match either gender perfectly.

As we progress as a society and men are allowed to like feminine things, while women are allowed to like masculine things.. Won't a lot of this dissolve?

Why don't ultra femme gay boys identify as a different gender? Why don't butch chicks identify as a different gender?

Will we eventually just reach a point where we are identified by our sexual parts(or what we turn them into) after gender norms are dissolved?
