She lost her case and her dad is still in power over her. This is disgusting. She only has a short time left to get pregnant and she is interested in having another baby. She is legally forbidden to remove her birth control device. Just cause her dad doesn't want her to get pregnant. How can this be acceptable?

Yes to the first part. Her dad became her legal Guardian and in charge of her finances and life when she had a mental breakdown

Personally I think she's gotten better. But her dad won't let her go

To be fair I have a relative who constantly gets pregnant by randoms and has her babies taken from her immediately because she's deemed mentally unfit to raise children. Provisions like this are presumably meant to prevent scenarios like that, where kids are just flooded into the adoption system for no reason.

Yeah she's a grown woman. She made her own money, she should have the dignity to piss away her money if she pleases, but she doesn't even have that.

I think the court is more familiar with the situation and able to make a better judgement call than anyone here. I dont have a problem with someone being prevented from having children if they are not capable of raising them

For one thing, she recently admitted in court that nobody had told her she could file to end the conservatorship.

"Her lawyer" has been milking the situation just as much as her dad, the guy has been getting 10k a week or something ridiculous.

I just find it very odd that shes not fit to run her life, but she is fit to keep working and keeping everyone around her paid

That's just awful. If they won't let her remove that birth control implant, she needs to find a doctor somewhere that will. It's just barbaric for her to not have control of her own body like that.

Thing is she's a successful super star who had been previously investigated for child abuse and neglect, lost child custody, and been in and out of the mental health system.

There's a reason it's legal for her life to be micromanaged like this. It wouldn't fly for normal people with no problems. But a subset of society are not trusted to be parents, because of their prior actions.

If she proved to the court that she's made enough progress, I'd assume her rights would be restored. It's not a jail sentence, it doesn't just "time out", the progress actually needs to be made.

People mentioning that she's rich is silly since she was rich back when she flipped out too. That was never the problem.
