This tbf. Most people giving know who normally gifts or not. Plus the point is in gifting to gift, not gifting so that you get something in return. If someone has an issue with another user they feel is taking the piss, they just won't gift that person. There's no need to call people out for it - there's no mandate stipulating that you have to gift so what's the point? By and large, these threads have always been chill. Why try and cause drama? Edit: obviously the last part isn't aimed aimed at teep_ but the poster they were responding to.

inb4 someone points out that I haven't gifted this time 'round - got no money so can't but, fwiw, I've always gifted in previous sales

I try to give what i can, when i can because if i have the ability to give someone a game they really want or a Steam key i won't use, why not? I feel its the nice thing to do.

Yeah pretty much this. Like I didn't honestly expect to get even Indivisible of all. Gifting essentially just makes you good because you're doing charity which does more to you than it does to the other.

The ones whom I've gifted I've actually gone out of my way to get the keys that weren't on sale and gift them. I could just not do it entirely but eh..why not? So long as others can play the games, It doesn't matter.

yeah, calling someone out for not gifting is in really poor taste and completely against the spirit of this tradition. not everyone is in a situation where they can afford to gift. i know i'm not, and personally that's one reason why i've only been angling for spare humble bundle keys and not posting my wishlist, but if someone wants to put theirs out there and see if they get anything, that's fine. if you don't agree with that then just don't gift those people anything. don't put them on blast and make a big deal out of it. that's just really sleazy.

Seeing as you said you're after spare HB keys, I've got a few left over from the last two months. I'll shoot a list below, lemme know if they interest you.

Paw Paw Paw / Effie / Retimed / Morkredd / Vane / Milky Way Prince.

Levelhead / Relicta could also be available depending on if a friend redeemed them or not, don't think he added them to his steam library but no way of knowing if he claimed them on his HB. Either way, lemme know if you want a key out of those.

The reason why I put up prizes in the first contest in the first place was basically to avoid this, so that people who gift feel somehow "rewarded" by participating in the sweepstakes.

But yeah, ideally the best is gifting for the sake of it. I don't regret at all the thousands of dollars I've spent in gifts and prizes these years because it makes people happy.

Main reason I gift stuff in these topics was because of games CE gave me when I was between grad school and a job in 2016 and it was from a minor sale that didn't have great discounts. Leana gave me Stardew, somebody else gave me The Witcher 3, and NOM gave me Among the Sleep or SOMA (forgot which one)

Castle Crashers is great, I'm a big fan of The Behemoth's work.

Battleblock Theater and Alien Hominid are stellar games. Castle Crashers was how my wife and I would vibe in the evenings way back before we had kids, a lot of fun.

It's a lot of fun for sure.

My wife got fed up of playing it with me though because I was pretty big on going back and redoing levels for missed gems / loot lol. Moaned about me doing that on Overcooked too when going for three stars, once we were done with it she wanted to put it down and not go back over levels haha.
