Why would you get fast food tuna? I used to work at Subway and generally the stuff is fine but the tuna is just a nasty paste that comes frozen in a tube and we thawed it out and mixed in half a gallon of mayo.

Subway is pretty trash. I will say that carved turkey sandwich they had awhile back at thanksgiving was way better than it should have been. Only thing I've gotten from them in years

Subway's alright by me. In saying that, there aren't really any comparable alternatives in most of the country.
I would never order anything seafood from there though. That just seems like asking for a bad experience.

Don't hate Subway, but I always felt Quizno's was over-priced for the product. Haven't had Blimpie's since the mid 90's so can't say much. Firehouse subs were nothing special to me, but that too has been about 20 years.

Jimmy John's is something else for me though. Not a white bread guy, but something about theirs is really tasty. I would always get the $10 gargantuan with no regrets.

My wife used to always get extra bread at JJ's. Like she'd order a sandwich and then get a couple of additional pieces of bread for some stupidly low price

NASCAR, the NAtional Stock CAr Racing does not race stock cars, it's just race cars with headlights, grille and tailight stamps to make them look like consumer cars.

Taco Bell meat is not meat, it is some weird rehydrated oat product.

California Champagne is not really champagne.

Southern Comfort is not really Whiskey.

Even SUVs are not truly SUVs anymore, they're cars with SUV shapes (that's why they call them 'crossovers')

There must be a name for this sort of thing?

So it says it's likely this isn't even an issue with Subway but rather their suppliers.

So if this is the case they clearly have extremely poor quality control and probably need to rethink who they're doing business with.

From what I read in the Twitter thread, the "tuna" seems to have been tested after being mixed and prepared for the customer already. Going through the process messes with the results much like bothering a corpse in a crime scene ruins the evidence.
