Everyone seems to bash gacha games. Its gambling. I even downloaded and Im trying to play it. Its ok. But man, the most popular game on PS4? For almost a year now at that.

its worse gambling than anything EA has ever done but nobody is bashing Genshin Impact. Is it that waifu factor?

The irony of GI is that the 5* characters are (arguably) not as good as a well-greased team of 4* characters because most 5* characters are designed to be basically solo, while 4* characters are designed with team synergy in mind.

It's why Noelle, Bennett, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Diona and Fischl are all top tier.

I remember challenging myself to not use any 5-star in Spiral Abyss 12 (the hardest fights in the game) and my all 4-star team (Noelle, Xingqiu, Fischl, Bennett) actually did BETTER.

ive only been able to get the lower tier 4s. That heavy great sword chick, that xia dude with the blue hair and that fire Xiang chick. Oh and some other ice girl as well, Rosaria I think.

Noel is one of the best characters in the game, Xingqiu is probably the best hydro charcater as well.

I just couldn't cope with not getting Jean and Diluc. I wanted them so bad. But they just never came home. Oh yeah, and for some reason even Venti eluded me.

As long as you stick to f2p, you're gambling with the house's money. I appreciate all the whales out there for financing this, but if you're low-spending in this game, you might as well not be spending at all.

It's a piece of garbage that hasn't had any meaningful content added for months, and I'm not sure a person who spends $100 per banner can talk about the f2p experience.

It's essentially a F2P version of BotW with waifu's and husbando's. It's a decent casual experience, just if you do try it (you might as well if you're interested, it is free) just try not to spend a dime on the gacha because the pull rates on them are horrendous (and probably why this game made bank). I'll give the game this though, it's a very gorgeous looking game considering it is f2p.

The combat mechanics and team synergy via elemental reactions are excellent. It's actually why the game is F2P friendly, honestly. There are literally team comps made entirely out of characters the game literally GIVES you (Noelle, Kaeya, Lisa, Xiangling, Amber, Barbara) that can clear and 36-star (basically, 100% perfect clears) the Spiral Abyss.

I have a ps4. Someone on my friends list said a new free game came out so we should check it out. Didn't look anything up about it just dl it and ooh boy after the cutscene I was like nah man.

Yes. TC, you can get away with anything as long as you have cute anime girls in it.

Yeah, we got some obvious haters in here who don't know about the game at all. The game is gacha and I admit that gachas in general are trash because they are predatory from the get go. This game at least has pity counter that carries over from every banner of that type. So yes it's pretty pay 2 win to get every 5* character but you will get 5* multiple 5* characters the longer you play. Not many gachas carry over like Genshin does at least.

It is anime in presentation but the characters and stories really aren't super generic shonen anime style. I won't say the story/stories are super deep or anything but it's decent imo.

I will agree that they're hasn't been any drastic permanent updates although they are on the way with inazuma. But they do come out with constant updates with new enemies and minigames to do. Overall it's a gacha and it doesn't appeal to everyone but it's a pretty fun game imo.
