Store was getting shut down, other PSN services like downloading purchases would remain. Sony were convinced to reverse that decision, but PSP will still be gone come the 2nd of July.

For Netflix, will still be abailable for now, but they already discontinued the newer WiiU application, other legacy systems will follow soon enough.

This has always been pretty much inevitable from the moment consoles (or PCs) started using external servers in the first place.

I said from the moment that they added full Internet connections to consoles that people were going to start seeing a lot of negatives they weren't thinking about or expecting, and we've already seen most of what I predicted.

No matter how much you might think they should, no company is ever going to maintain servers forever, whether it be servers necessary for online play, servers necessary for play at all (in cases where games require an always-on Internet connection to "check in"), or consoles calling home to reset their internal software or download games.
