Non binary people are trans. If they aren't then oh damn, I guess I have a few dozen Facebook friends to tell. "Yeah turns out you're not actually trans? Yeah, some guy on the internet said so."

Not all non binary people will identify as trans though.

The weird thing about Lovato is that even though I know their music sells and is on the radio, outside of Cool for Summer and...Skyscraper (?) their stuff just isn't recognizable. I get that I'm not exactly their target audience (even though she's just a year younger than me) but I still listen to pop music and can recognize songs from most of the other big name pop stars from the past decade. Lovato's had hits over the past decade, but only in the sense that they've charted, they've made almost no cultural impact through their art.

Eh, I struggle with names enough since Ive had serious brain damage. I struggle enough with my day to day truth be told. But its nice to see such aggressive people like yourself and who attack people with such vigor for no reason.

I am sorry if you do struggle with such things, but no one is going to mind if you slip up or forget someone's pronouns by accident. The issue is if you purposely refuse to use them when asked or corrected.

They ultimately are a simple thing to remember for 99.9999% of people, no matter how much they complain about the centuries old singular they, that they almost certainly use in conversation (like I just did then!)

What about them? They don't know yet. When someone corrects them, they should correct themselves. If there's no way of knowing, there's no harm, but once you're made aware why wouldn't you refer to them as they like? If someone hates their legal name and tells you they'd rather be called something else would you refuse because you don't recognize that as their name?
