That's right, I'm, as the kids say, "back on this bullshit."

I still believe that if everyone was armed it would result in good things for society. Because I trust the American public. Because if everyone was armed, you must trust them to behave in a responsible way. And vice versa.

That's simply the problem is that nobody has faith in their fellow Americans anymore. But I do. I would even arm you on this board if I could. Despite knowing that some of you have a, distaste, for me.

How about nobody has a gun?

That's a lot safer.

I still don't understand this logic.

If guns were made illegal, criminals, (people who commit illegal acts), would just get illegal guns.

Not to mention, a disarmed populace can't protect themselves from a tyrannical government.

See: China, Venezuela, North Korea, Russia, etc.

Please explain your logic to me.

Are you saying you don't trust the American public? Then you must carry a gun to protect yourself from them right?

I trust myself more in a fist fight than a gun fight where any asshole can shoot me.

America has more guns and more gun deaths than any country, so surely more guns is the solution!

Again, I don't understand. If someone wants. Again to commit murder, they WILL get one. Whether it's legal or not. All you are doing is disarming yourself.

Your logic is contradictory.

You don't trust the American public, but you trust criminals enough to think they would disarm themselves? What?

Compare it to how many lives they save though. The CDC conducted a study a while back and said that responsible firearm owners prevent violent crimes anywhere from 500,000 to 2,000,000 times per year.

Also, sure, North Korea may have low gun crime rates, but how many citizens are killed by their government? How about Venezuela? They're doing great I hear.

How many people already own illegal guns? How many people have illegal modifications? Or illegal ammo in some places? Magazines?

Then when all of them are outlawed, that'll just make more criminals.

For instance I own 3 firearms. Nothing illegal about them. 2 standard pump action 12 gauges, and an AR-15.

No modifications, standard ammo, and a few 30 round magazines for my AR-15.

Now let's say 30 round magazines are made illegal.

I would not turn mine in, therefore, I would become a criminal.

You're underestimating how many people would have illegal guns.

Our government kills significantly more people (on a per capita basis) than any in Europe. It's not even close!

The most armed people in our society cheer every police killing and execution; they aren't a meaningful check against tyranny because their definition of tyranny is "Dairy Queen requires you to wear a mask"
