Currently playing Fallout 3.

I want to sell some stuff, but it just turned nighttime and everything is closed. I could speed up time by 'waiting', but I don't want to. Instead, I'm letting time go by naturally, because I think speeding up the time would take me out of the game. Anyone else ever feel this way?

I fast travel sometimes, but it makes the game feel more fake..it's basically teleportation.

The better option is to go to sleep instead of standing around.

If you're playing for immersion, shouldn't you go to bed at night?
Yeah, he should probably also mod it to have time pass in real time.

The even better option is to drop 3 and play New Vegas instead

Even 4 tops 3 imo

This. Going to sleep would be more "realistic" in a sense, and more immersive than either just standing in place or using the wait function.

No guys he needs to keep playing and let sleep happen when it happens. You're going to break his immersion.

Theres a lock pick mechanic. Break into their house, kill them, and steal all their stuff.

I'm doing something similar in fallout 4. sleep at an inn if one is available nearby. otherwise park your character up on a barstool or chair somewhere and hit wait /shrug
