Not all criminals commit violent crimes, not all people who steal do so with a weapon. The non violent criminal has my full support of yes he can change. Criminals who steal cars like that dude who noticed the baby in the backseat and took that child into a store saying call the police to get this baby are very different then the car jacker who has a knife or gun.

its also an absurd comparison. A bunch of soldiers were killing civilians. intervening to help innocent villagers from being slaughtered is not comparable to risking your life to save a guy who wanted to murder you
