If youre engaged and didnt get blown on your birthday or Valentines Day AND you dont feel comfortable communicating your needs to her, thats a red flag. Not like a BREAK OFF THE ENGAGEMENT!!! red flag, but something you two need to work on. Sexual needs are a thing. It slows down in marriage, trust me, but that doesnt mean it has to be or should be zero. You both should be getting what you need.

we were going through some personal stuff around January/February, so I wasnt really expecting it then.

but this has been going on for years. Not a new issue. Things get better for a bit then right back to celibacy lol.

Im not trying to be alarmist but you guys do seriously need to come to some sort of understanding on this. That sort of tension will lead to resentment and can undermine a marriage in a hurry.

That doesnt mean you convince her to give her mouth up every night at 7pm sharp, but it should mean shes gotta be willing to play ball a little more frequently. Dress it up in the context of setting aside couple time for date nights. Thats important for emotional intimacy too and has an obvious opportunity to end the way you hope.

Have you tried making that once a week a date night rather than just lets bang once a week? Schedule some fun activity, go do something, go out to dinner, etc. That makes it into a fun night and is better at setting the mood than just like jumping right at it. Women tend to not be wired quite as eagerly from 0 to 60 as men, lol.

Going from tons of sex at the start to very little once youre years and years in is totally normal, but you still have to communicate and make the effort.

In fairness to his fiance, there can be plenty of love and a deep relationship where you make each other very happy on the whole, while the sexual aspect is lacking. Maybe thats the case here, in which case there are lots of things to try before jumping to the nuclear option.

One aspect of a relationship struggling is not a reason to blow it up, but you also cant ignore it and hope it gets better.

If you guys are good emotionally, like things are solid outside of the dry spell, it will almost certainly help. You should try to do a date night at least every other week just because its good for you as a couple romantically, let alone sexually.
