While I know we see this in other parties, however it seems to be seen most with Republicans. Republicans would defend rich people. Like crazy, when the dems try to raise their taxes or make them stop dumping waste in parks.

Well, again I'd note that most Republicans aren't poor. But the Republican strategy for wooing voters who don't gain from their economic agenda has been to
1) lie about what that agenda does (with the help of a media ecosystem dedicated to that purpose)
2) win them over on social and culture issues, like abortion or support for cops

It's not some big mystery.

Single issue voters is a major part of the problem. Probably lots of lower/middle class people out there that will never vote Democrat simply because they truly believe they are baby killing, gun revoking, enemies of the state.

Because they view themselves as temporarily embarrassed millionaires and are afraid that if they vote to raise taxes on the rich, that they'll be subject to those same taxes in just a few short years

1. Religion
2. Racism
3. Stupidity
4. Extra stupidity.

If these are the big problems you're worried about (which I think is silly) then voting for Republicans seems like the only way to address them.

Poor education and religious zealots. They only care about two things, the color of their skin and their team winning.

Lack of common sense and a good education even if it's basic, lack of a good moral compass, bigoted personal beliefs, sense of entitlement going unfulfilled and Republican lies and other propaganda. Religion, particularly Christianity can skew things too, although most people who say they are Christian really aren't and are frauds, or aren't nearly as devout to be considered a actually Christian as they should be. As long as you are white and pretend as if your cause is just because you are doing it in God's / Jesus' name, or that it's a holy war against His enemies and that He is behind it and you'll likely have other bigoted zealots coming out of the woodwork to stand by you.

For sure. What the poll really says....

1.Fear of brown people having equal rights, and / or dragging down and ruining the country

2.In favor of Police Brutality and continued suppression of minorities

3.Fear of ill gotten gains being taken from fair propotionate taxes based on income AND wealth

4.News that doesn't support the right's hateful, bigoted beliefs is fake news

5.Fear of the monsters we created, or simply those with different beliefs than us

6.Why should we have to share and help anyone and anything

7.Fear of minorities' anti KKK

8.Fear of the Chinese prospering more, and fear of the Chinese creating and spreading COVID19

9.Sexist white men fearing loss of control over women's bodies and what they can do with them

10.Fear of a minority president taking office again

11.Fear of government spies and spy technology

12.Fear of old white religious values being marginalized and no long respected(Too late IMO)

Notice how most this is all fueled by fear of losing control and / or of the "others".

Republicans have convinced them that rigid hierarchies are essential to the country/patriotism functioning.

Any sort of examination of wealth distribution is instantly labeled as "socialism" which scares those voters so they would gladly keep the top % powerful in order to keep America safe from "socialism".

They have been convinced that their worth deserves to stay low for the greater good.

The short of it is they create a bad guy, then devote all media attention to fighting the imagined bad guy while they pick pocket. See Dr. Seuss outrage while they attempt to disenfranchise eligible voters

No evidence of vote fraud, but for the fact they they lost. Rather than appeal to more Americans, they'd rather attempt to strip them off their fundamental right to vote. Since that won't go over well, distract with Dr. Seuss of all things.

I'm not particularly impressed with Democrats either, but let's just call it as it is. If you see you can't win fair and resort to voter suppression, we're right back in time to a place we should've left behind
