I finished the main game and am partly into the DnD DLC.

playing Axton, also played mostly solo.

I'm just... not really digging it.

my friend wants me to play 3 with him though but says i should finish 2.

There's your problem, Axton is lame.

If you have the Commander Lilith DLC just start someone else at 30. Like Gaige, Gaige rules.

The Tina DLC is one of the best parts of the entire game.

I remember Axton being my first character & depending on your build, hes ehh at best from the characters Ive used.

Salvador, Gaige and Maya if you really want to fuck things up. Zer0 is good so far & need to build up the skill tree some more & I can dive into TVHM.

Also think that 3 is worse than 2 overall. I'd consider the level 30 new character option if you're not digging Axton. I remember he was the first I played and I liked him but he's pretty boring relative to the others

the only reason i played Axton was all the other characters got taken by my friends when we first played.

Bloodsplosion and Blood Bath are two of the most ridiculously fun skills in the whole series, not gonna lie. Basically infinite grenades, +500% gun damage on kill, and if you slag the room and nuke one enemy you get to watch enemies chain explode and can even feasibly hit 99999k as soon as you start UVHM. He can do some stupid stuff with Tediore reloads too (incredible way out of FFYL) with his clip size + explosive damage bonuses.

RtB is pretty fun too, although there eventually does come a point where it turns from being the super beefy nasty mode to the button you press to heal + go invincible when you're about to die and then have to be in the vulnerable/weaker rampage mode that doesn't multiply roid shield damage like Rapier does.

i used to really like them back in HS, but a couple years ago me and my friends tried to do another 4 player playthru of TPS and we just couldnt do it

As somebody suggested start with a level 30 character in playthrough 2. First play through kinda sucks regardless of which character you pick, though some are better than others.
