Never again will I ever attempt skateboard.....

I can balance on it and ride it around for transportation but I can't even ollie.

Still remember the very first time I stood on a board though lol I was like six years old, in the garage at my mom's house, floor was slick as shit, got on it... and it slipped out and I fell on my ass.

Only ever owned one board, still have it somewhere in my basement now :(

I knew a guy who somehow got a testicular torsion skateboarding. It's apparently excruciatingly painful but our 14 year old selves laughed our asses off.

On topic, I was good at every sport but somehow never got the hang of skateboarding. The guys who were good at skateboarding - during my time - were never good at sports.

I could drop-in on a big half pipe and do a 50-50 on it but couldn't ever land a kickflip with both feet for some reason even though I could ollie pretty high. My brain just wouldn't let me nail flips.

I also could never go back down the ramp without turning the board around. Going down backwards would completely throw my balance off, hence why I'd do a grind at the top and turn around.

Pretty cool you're going to the skatepark.

I don't know why I don't practice more. I haven't used it in years tbh just something I picked up last time I was home to have with me. I do sometimes think about fishing it out and riding. Actually they did just install brand new sidewalks in our neighborhood maybe it's a sign.

I have really good balance in most cases but for whatever reason I am completely terrible on a skateboard. I have some friends who are great on them, though.

Yeah. Im ok. One of my skating friends hung out with Tony Hawk for an afternoon when he came to my town. My friend then came back home and told me about it. So you can say I was personally trained by Tony Hawk. I mean, its not true, but its what we told girls.

I used to skate a bit when I was in like, middle school, but was never any good. Then I broke my board and never bothered getting another one.

I did actually order another one earlier in the year so I could pick it back up, but due to Covid I had to order one, and it was like November by the time it finally showed up so I never bothered.

Yeah. Skating was my life when I was a kid/teenager.

I haven't actively skated in years but I was on a board this past summer and can still ride it just fine and do some basic tricks.
