Veteran CNN Anchor, 41 y/o Brooke Baldwin tearfully announced she's leaving the network after 13 years in mid-April after making the shock announcement at the start of her show!!

She said "There is just more i need to do outside the walls of this place"..

She joined the network in 2008 and said she was feeling vulnerable because she doesn't have another job lined up but with a deep breath said she was excited about what is to come and her next chapter in life which is ampplifying the lives of extraordinary Americans putting her passion for storytelling to good use.

Her exit will coincide with the release of her book Huddle: How Women Unlock their collective power

In an emotional address she talked about her journey in journalism and thaning viewers for their support as well as outgoing CNN President, Jeff Zucker.

It comes just as her show was temporarily pulled from the air to build up on the 2020 election and was replaced by Jake Tapper as she posted a cryptic message on instagram to a viewer asking where she was going and said "not my choice" speculating she was heading out the door

However said she was not going anywhere at the time.

She also contracted COVID-19 which she made public updates on her instagram account stating it was the worst feeling she's ever had.

Baldwin is also known to be a staple at CNN New Years Parties who is frequently partying with Don Lemon

She is also known for her remarkable reactions in some interviews in the past decade including that with Barstool Sports Clay Travis when he said his only 2 loves in life are beer and boobs which caused Baldwin to shut the interview down.

She is also one of the highest paid journalists on CNN with an annual salary of 4 million.

Anderson Cooper is the most paid with 12 million a year

Baldwin says she now wants to empower women and to fight for social justice as her next move in life whether it is in journalism or in another fashion
