time for Wallace.

good thing his Luvdisc is a joke. I can send out Miracles first and set up Reflect without having to worry. I specifically used Miracles first to bait out his Whiscash and switch to Thorn. I set up Reflect so the incoming Earthquake would do less damage and Thorn could take it out no problem.

Then he went right to Milotic, so I switched to Bily to Will-o-Wisp it. Then I switched to Muddy, went Mega and used Earthquake, but it took two EQs to take it out, since he Recovered before the first one hit. Sealeo and Seaking were jokes after that, both going down to only one EQ each.

the only potential problem was Milotic and maybe Whiscash. and I was prepared for both. Now on to the League!

Medicham (Strike) was my encounter for Victory Road. I may end up using this for the E4.

He is.

I tried a Nuzlocke in Omega Ruby, and I got to Mossdeep and lost interest. Something about the game was just so disappointing to me. And I didn't really like my team all that much. I tried Pokemon Moon after that, but I decided to Nuzlocke that from the start instead of doing it normally. It being pretty tough combined with that same empty feeling made me give up on that as well. And that's the last I've ever played of Pokemon.

had too much other stuff going on yesterday to play, but now I'm back to take on Wally.

started with Miracles, who took out Altaria, Delcatty and Roselia with no issues. For his Magneton, I used Reflect first before Volt Switching to Muddy, who went Mega and Earthquaked it. I used Reflect in preparation for his Gallade, but turns out that didn't matter, since one Earthquake took it out.

geez, I was really worried about this battle for some reason.

did a bit of EV training with Slayer and Strike. the Blissey Bases gave everyone a lot of HP EVs, so that's neat.

my team will be Muddy the Swampert, Thorn the Roserade, Billy the Dusclops, Miracles the Magnezone, Slayer the Gyarados and Strike the Medicham. I'll probably start the E4 tonight.

only got time for one battle tonight, but that's okay. Sydney time!

well, Sydney time was over quickly. since I taught Thorn Dazzling Gleam, it was able to OHKO everything. maybe Phoebe will be harder.

time for Phoebe.

I started with Thorn again, because I taught it Shadow Ball. He tore through her Dusclops and first Banette pretty easily, but then she sent out Dusclops, so I switched to Muddy. A couple of Mega Earthquakes took it out, then I left Muddy in for Sableye and Banette 2 and he took them out.

for Glacia, Miracles took out everyone by itself. except the last Glalie, since I switched to Strike for the kicks.

against Drake, I started with Slayer. one Ice Fang took care of Altaria, then he sent out Salamance. I switched to Miracles to take the Thunder Fang, then used Reflect to bulk up before Volt Switching back to Slayer for the Intimidate. I decied to gamble and Dragon Dance, hoping to survive the incoming 4x strong hit. Thanks to Reflect, it was able to tank Thunder Fang, then I Ice Fanged it. Slayer Ice Fanged the two Flygons, and took out Kingdra in two Crunches.

I was still kind of worried about Salamance before going in, but this battle wasn't a big deal, either. The Champion is waiting.

time to battle Steven.

I started with Miracles, since Skarmory can't do anything to it. He did get two Spikes in, which is unfortunate. He sent out Aggron next, so I Volt Switched to Slayer, who dodged the Earthquake. Then a Waterfall took it out.

for Cradily, I left in Slayer since it knows Ice Fang. despite the super effective hit, it did less than half, and Cradily confused me. I chanced it with another Ice Fang, which also didn't take it out, and Cradily used Ancientpower. Steven Full Restored it, and my next attack missed, so I switched to Billy. I Will-O-Wisped it, then Ice Punched it until it was in the red. Steven Full Restored it again before the final blow, so I started over. It was annoying, but Cradily finally went down after that.

he sent out Claydol next, and since Billy can hit it super effectively, I left him in. I burned it and proceeded to Shadow Punch it. but for the last hit, I used Brick Break to break the screens that Claydol set up. then I switched in Muddy for Armaldo, and went Mega and used Waterfall.

for Metagross, I switched in Slayer to get the Intimidate drop, but I forgot its ability is Clear Body. so he took out Slayer in one hit.so I switched in Billy to burn it. from there, I was able to whittle it down with Billy and Muddy.

thus, unlike how my White 2 Nuzlocke ended, I was able to beat the Champion and roll credits.

yeah, I'll do the Delta ep and keep following the Nuzlocke rules, but there aren't many big battles and only one new area, so I'll probably stop updating the topic. bringing back Swordwing to replace the dead Slayer.

I'll do a final summary tomorrow.

final team:
Muddy the Swampert
Thorn the Roserade
Billy the Dusclops
Miracles the Magnezone
Strike the Medicham
Slayer the Gyarados (dead)

dead:
Zigs the Zigzagoon
Punchy the Shroomish
Shenzi the Poochyena
Piper the Swellow
Clarke the Camerupt
Stoner the Golem

other used Pokemon:
Missy the Beautifly
Dingle the Wingull
Sphere the Electrode
Swordwing the Skarmory

I did do some things I've never done in a Pokemon game before, like using an Eviolite Pokemon instead of fully evolving it. while the Nuzlocke offered some fun challenge, it was kind of let down by this game still being pretty easy. me picking the obviously best starter helped that too, I guess. if I Nuzlocke this game again, I won't pick Mudkip.

but definitely the most annoying thing about Nuzlockes is when a party member dies pretty far into the game, you have to spend a while grinding up its replacement, and maybe EV train it a little. this game specifically makes that easier with Super Training, so that's nice.

after Nuzlocking this game and White 2 back to back, I'm good on Nuzlockes for a while. now I can focus more on Persona 5 Strikers (which is why I was updating less in the past couple of weeks).

At least grinding in the newer games is a little bit faster thanks to Exp. Share. I have to imagine it's much more of a pain to grind in the pre Gen 5 games if you're not playing on an emulator that can speed it up.

I was thinking of Nuzlocking HeartGold, but that game is the worst one to grind it.

yeah, just did earlier. like I expected, there was nothing hard about it. I happened to catch Rayquaza in a Quick Ball, so that was neat. and Zinnia or Deoxys may have been hard if the game doesn't force Rayquaza to the start of your team.
