As someone who went through 2 RRODs scenarios, the turn around was 2 weeks. If gamers really couldn't part from their console for that long that says more about them then anything.

Happened to me once, getting it repaired entirely free through MS was quick and easy, and I never had a problem with it thereafter. Man i'm an idiot, I should have just thrown it away and cut my thousands in losses in digital games.

People online claimed they had bought more 360s at the time. It was also the beginning of people buying so many games that they don't even get around to playing them.
