Camp is intrinsic to Metal Gear's identity tbh

I think the ending to Peace Walker's main story is absolutely legendary and yet it's not even quite top three of Metal Gear because the franchise is just that good

also because peace walker has some of the worst bosses in all of gaming

like don't get me wrong, storming your way out of the facility to Heavens Divide is absolutely legendary, but it's severely dampened by having to fight a helicopter, the worst of the 3 already terrible generic vehicle bosses

I'm talking more about the cutscene stuff than the gameplay. Like, Peace Walker gameplay sucks, yeah. Though I suppose that part of what makes MGS3 and MGS4 top three endings is how integrated the final boss is to the payoff so you're onto something here.

That game is just so spot on about so many things. The whole monologue towards the end about people being unprepared for the proliferation of garbage information produced via the internet turned out to be prophetic.

Oh, absolutely. MGS3 and 4 have 2 of the best final bosses in all of gaming.

MGS2 is still the most next gen game Ive ever played in terms of jump from previous gen. I bought an entire game just for the demo and played ZOE for only 5 hours.

That was before my time but for me MGSV was the craziest tech jump I ever experienced. Still feels like one of the only truly 'next gen' games even five years later. It feels more next gen than Death Stranding lol.
