It's, again, a good match 3 game. There is more depth to it, and its pretty fun. It does however get a bit frustrating if you're not super good at them like me, however, because of all the new systems upping the difficulty.

The overall writing quality is basically the same as Huniepop 1 I feel, but the creator has doubled down on all of the problems 1 had imo. It even feels like a step down in some respects.

Also the H-scenes are somehow worse than Huniepop 1's which already weren't great.

My verdict is that if you liked Huniepop 1 for the gameplay its possibly better so long as you are good at Match 3. If you were expecting more from the rest of the game however, it's either the same or a step down. Overall I don't think I like it as much as 1.

One of the issues I have is they don't even feel like threesomes though. It honestly feels like a yuri dating game. 90% of the interaction is the two girls in the pair, including in the H-scenes.

I really don't know why they brought back Lola of all people from Huniepop 1.

I don't know anyone that actually feels more than 'eh, she's alright?' about her. While I'm not really into Jessie myself, she's at least popular and I understand her popularity.

Probably cause Lola fit the theme. She's a flight attendant after all.

If you like huniepop 1, huniepop 2 is more of huniepop 1 with added roadblocks to make bejeweled feel slightly more complicated and annoying.

One of my biggest criticisms of Huniepop 1 was for something that bills itself as an ero game, it wasn't actually that erotic. It's a lot of Bejeweled for about a minute of a very poorly written H-scene with basically no variants of some of the most softcore porn I've ever seen.

Huniepop 2 is exactly the same in this regard, only there are two girls in each CG.

Why play Huniepop when stuff like Summertime Saga exists

I guess that's in the eye of the beholder... But personally I liked Long Live the Princess... Featuring an actual story with some decent writing. There are some actual twists and turns and mysteries that are genuinely surprising. It even features its very own somewhat original mythos. Gameplay strikes a good balance between a sandbox and visual novelesque storytelling. And unlike most games of it's kind it actually has an ending now, and it's an ending the actually works, even though it doesn't nail the landing 100%.

Summertime Saga on the other hand doesn't seem to be about much of anything. I mean yes, the father's death is supposed to be the main story, but you spend like less than 5% of the time on it and most of the time you're just doing rap battles, fetch quests and delivering pizzas. It's not bad or anything, but it feels shallow and not just in the way that porn games usually are shallow but rather in a way that makes you feel like no real passion was put into the stories being told. Feels like a classic case of someone trying to extend their game as much as possible in order to milk the Patreon bank dry. To his credit though, he actually is still developing the game, so it's not an actual scam unlike some other "developers"...

you can get screwed over if a broken heart match happens to result after a regular match, which will make one of the girls automatically angry, and if you don't have enough stamina with the remaining girl you'll just lose when she gets tired.
