I'm surprised none of the action scenes from FFXIII got nominated. Say what you will about the game itself but the original FFXIII has some really snazzy action scenes. I think XIII-2 has some as well.

It's the very first cutscene via ARR, no spoilers. It's how they shut down the original game and started anew.

Im bumping this. Its a really close poll for the most part. I didnt expect that at all. Also would never have thought that after 60 votes, the Tidus/Yuna scene would be in the lead.

The music is one of the reasons for sure. They managed to make the tinny, midi-esque sounds of a SNES sound kinda like actual lyrics!

Also, the scene is funny/ironic since a serious general has to go out of her wheelhouse and pretend to be a singer. It's an interesting change of pace from a game that could just be about war.

Id say that the time period of when you played it could make a big difference. For those of us who played it in the 90s when the game was first released, it stood out as something fairly unique. It stands out from the rest of the game, and even from the rest of the series.

Considering that most of us had only played cartridge-based games, the illusion of a character singing was something we hadnt seen before. It seems minor in comparison to games being made nearly 30 years later, but for a lot of us, it left an impression.

It was pretty coo (short), and pretty innuendo-y as hell.
