Pearce later explains to Strowman that he was never a WWE champion, therefore he's not in the chamber either (yet let Morrison wrestle for a spot earlier).

Okay this is completely unfair of you to say. There's a decent number of people who watched it.

But those people who watched are all elderly and can't remember what even happened last week though.

Jokes aside, this is the shittiest trope WWE does with having the champion and challenger fight for the titles and usually win them, and it's so pathetic how often it happens during the Wrestlemania lead up too. Like this is so lazy and indicative of how bad they treat their tag division that they just make their champions just meaningless for the champion/challenger build up, and it's not even a compelling story. Who gives a shit how they work as a team or if they can get along?

Most Young Bucks storylines are pretty bad in AEW, but at least they try to do a lot more with all of their tag teams there.

I kinda like the trope in a vaccuum, it just was already overdone years ago and it sounds like they've kept using it. That and I don't like that they ALWAYS go over established teams.

I'd say Ciampa and Thatcher was a recent example of it done well (and it helps that they didn't win the Dusty Cup).

I can't believe they actually let him take the title off of DREW MAC. Like I understand the whole EC match into Lashley beatdown to justify it but man Miz has been a legit clown who literally needed Tucker fucking Knight's help to even get the briefcase.

This is Miz's first PPV main event win since Wrestlemania 27, ending a drought that lasted nearly 10 years (and only his second ppv main event win overall).

To expand on those thoughts, if this were good writing, they have Miz hand Lashley the title tomorrow, with the deal being that Miz just wanted another title win/successful MITB in the books and doesn't actually care to defend it, and then you've got Lashley vs. Drew.

And that really seems so long ago, despite the fact that it was only 4 months ago. Now Miz is WWE Champion, Tucker's a regular on Main Event, and Otis is a heel in SD's floundering Tag division.

ALSO, as discussed earlier in the Discord, this was McIntyre's 3rd main event as WWE Champion. He's 0-3 (Orton, Reigns*, and Miz)
