According to Wikipedia, Chapter 15 allows for a corporate representative to open a bankruptcy case before US courts when there is an ongoing bankruptcy case before foreign courts, and allows for coordination between US and foreign courts in processing the bankruptcy.

So your hunch might not be too far off!

They crushed earnings last quarter but the stock didnt catapult up. It went down slightly and then gradually up. As of late, its been trending up. May be too late to get in.

Zillow earnings next week (2/10). Moonroof rating: BUY
These guys crush earnings every time. They have been steadily ascending since February 2020. The housing market has been booming as of late and Zillow gets the added Tech bonus stat to that. Even if they dont go up after earnings, this one is a keeper long term.

Note: they are at an all time high now and there was a recent surge. There could be a slight stop post-earnings but I still reckon itll go up in the long haul.

Too big to fail, crushes all earnings, online retailer, etc. etc. They went down slightly last ER despite immaculate numbers, but quickly ascended right after. Buy this stock on the next red day it has.

If you can get .60 or under, that would be ideal but these prices are fine too. A big ER with guidance/new contracts could easily triple the warrants in a snap (at which point I will be selling and getting back in). Of course, us AVCT longs have been waiting forever for guidance so who knows! Just know that if there's no news or guidance this ER, I expect a harsh sell off.

But the signs are there that news is coming - gargantuan insider buys recently and some institutions coming back on board after selling in August. Last time insider buys like this happened, we had the Kandy acquisition announced. Warrants went from .30 to $2 premarket that day. Investor relations has also confirmed they will be hosting their first call this ER, so that's a relief.

I have a .60 average right now myself. Had a .50 average and sold 20,000 recently. Of course, I wish I had sold when they almost popped 1 like a month ago and ended up selling most in the .70s, but oh well! This was always a very long term play for me and I only plan to sell huge runs where pullback is inevitable. The timing will be tricky on those but I've already made my mind up I have to sell to lock in at least one huge win with them.

And yeah, volume on warrants is funny. Generally people tend to load up on warrants and then sell after huge news, so lots of the ones I'm interested in have very low volume. Often less volume in a day than the entirety of what I own!

And hey since I advocated for ATNF recently, I should say that I only got 200 shares for now, just to sort of watch movement on them. The stock ran a bunch already on no news which makes me think they're overdue for a sharp pullback. Will start adding under 4 if it happens.

This was the first "normal" market day in what feels like forever in that I didn't make or lose what to me feels like a lot of money. Happy I ended up green for this week despite GME and AMC imploding.

Anyone have experience with IPOs, maybe @red_sox_777 ? I have some money set aside for Coinbase, but "hot" IPOs seem like a bad investment 90% of the time.

But I'm a big believer in the company, so at the very least I'm open to holding for the long-term. Thoughts/anecdotes? Anyone get rich off of Pelaton or anything this year??

I dont think anyone here lost money on IPOs. We normally do pretty well deciphering the real ones from the shams.

Also ExTha, I wouldn't check on the cryptos you just sold to lose money in GME if I were you. You'll be quite upset :(

I'm not even sure how to go about buying in at open. Like do I put an order in for a certain amount of money and just see how many shares that buys me? Or is there a way to only execute the buy if it opens under a certain price?

It also makes my stomach turn to know people who are already millionaires are getting better values, but I guess that's the system.

This topic had quite a negative experience with the AirBNB and Doordash IPOs a little while ago. Not that anyone lost money - I think we all made money. But the way the price pretty much doubled from the "IPO price" to the first trade accessible to the general public the next morning was just unfair. If you can somehow buy the IPO shares from the company, that's gotta be the easiest way to make money in the stock market. Nothing is guaranteed but those seem to go up most of the time, and often by a lot.

I also plan to buy the Coinbase IPO. I think they've got a great business model and it's a good way to get more exposure to crypto.

I remember Airbnb and Doordash being ridiculously overvalued so I'm surprised anyone made money there. I may have to check the day 1 patterns. Curious if there was a big dip after the first hour or so before they went back up.

AirBNB is up quite a lot from where it opened. My recollection is that no one in this topic bought Doordash.

Probably about a month. Hoping it happens just before BTC crosses the $50k mark, but I suspect that will happen sooner.

If you're going to invest, do it now. We're in for an imminent pop, and I honestly do not see it dropping much below for any extended period of time ever again.

ETH is also going to double within 2 years.

I have $5k in both of those. Up around $400 since a few days ago when I invested.

Who's your broker?

If I recall for one IPO, Vanguard let me put in a limit order like an hour before it officially was available? So I got a decent price before it skyrocketed. That's my advice for the average Joe.

No day trading for this guy.

A lot of my research is by watching Bit Boy Crypto and Sheldon Evans on YouTube, but I try to watch a variety. My long term plays right now are to go heavy on ETH and ADA, and to use my gains there to help me get as much BTC as possible down the road.

Hoping there's a little rejection for BTC after this recent pump because good LORD both ETH and BTC are crushing right now. Everyone should get in while they still can.
