Imagine thinking a non-exploit game mechanic included in the base version of the game is beneath you to use as intended on a vanilla run. Might as well play later MegaMan games and never charge a shot because it makes things too easy. It's not like you threw the konami code at Contra. You're literally using an intended character as intended on a stock Route. Might as well throw Grant to the curb too for his wall climbing shenanigans.
