Eh, I got to one more:

Corpo Inferno by Mansfield.TYA - This one was wonderful; dark undertones and synths will hook me every time. I really need more French music in my life.

(And also I've realized I'm extremely bad at describing music and sounds; I currently have no vocab for it, so I'm sorry most of these write ups aren't very exciting to read, haha)

Couldn't decide which new pornographers album to go with so I decided on the general consensus best. It's in my top 3 of theirs at least.

https://youtu.be/vCWYnIKVDCU

If you don't like indie name a genre and ill see what I can think of.

But seriously the new pornographers are so good. Dan and Neko are amazing solo as well.
But which album is this? It's blocked in the US. I've listened to a couple New Pornographers albums before though. They're generally pretty good, but I prefer Neko Case's solo stuff based on what I've heard.

I actually like her solo stuff more too. She's my favourite artist though.

It was supposed to be twin cinema.

Twin cinema, mass romantic, and electric version are all basically equally good imo.

Their later stuff is good but those first 3 are just something special imo.

Hoobastank's The Reason is exactly the kind of thing I might have listened to in my early high school days, and while I did make it through out of a sense of weird nostalgia, it's not really my thing anymore.
@Pus_N_Pecans

Yeah, that's about spot on. This came out my senior year in high school. It's not something I really listen to anymore, just a pretty decent album that was slept on because the single was super big.

I've listened to this one before, though it's not really my thing. I have an aversion to pop a lot of the time, and this is a bit too saccharine for my taste. Without the vocals, I'd probably enjoy it more.

Finished Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche. I can't seem to get into hair metal like I used to at all, but this wasn't bad. Lyrically, it's a cut above a lot of the other stuff the genre has to offer.

And I've started The Pernicious Enigma by Esoteric, which seems nice and foreboding, and atmospheric so far, but it looks like it's two hours long, and I feel like I'll get tired of it long before then. We'll see. I suppose it's easy enough to listen to as background music though.

If you don't mind sleepy, droning vocals:
Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence

If you don't mind Japanese singing:
Shibayan Records - Kokoro Vibration
Shibayan is known for two things, pleasant bossa Nova music and hardcore synth noise disco whatever the fuck you wanna call it bangers that go hard as fuck.

Finished The Pernicious Enigma by Esoteric and Mirrorland by Earthgang. Definitely not gonna finish even the first page of this topic any time soon, haha.

Anyway, I liked both of these. The Pernicious Enigma is probably a bit too much to listen through in one sitting, but it's quite good. The atmosphere is ominous, haunting, and oppressive throughout.

Mirrorland was a lot of fun, and a nice refresher coming off the last album on the list. To my surprise, I didn't even dislike the track with T-Pain.

Barring some of her more misogynistic lyrics, I've always liked Lana Del Ray quite a bit. She's got a great voice, and it's a perfect fit for the hypontic sort of sound she has. It's a solid album.

Haven't listened to Shibayan Records though. I'll add it to the list.

In case you're still taking requests:

Oliver Tree - Ugly is Beautiful
Not sure how to classify his style... Alt pop I guess? Great listen

HEALTH - Death Magic
A fun noise rock/dance hybrid

100 Gecs - 1000 Gecs
Absolute balls to the walls insanity. I think they're classified as Hyperpop, which is just an absolute parodying of popular music tropes. Fun listen as well.

Managed to get to a couple more over the weekend. ALMOST through the first page now.

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie - This one was pretty good. The vocalist almost kind of reminds me of a precursor to Evanescence's Amy Lee at times. (Wait, it looks like Evanescence started in the 90s too...either way, very reminiscent)

XXI Century Blood by The Warning - Didn't do much for me, though I've never been able to get into the whole pop punk thing. Reminds me of something like My Chemical Romance or newer Green Day, but maybe that's selling them a bit short. There's a few tracks that break out from that, especially Black Holes, which almost kind of reminded me of The Cranberries.

Finally made it to the second page of recommendations!

La Carotte Blue by Ghost of the Saber Tooth Tiger - I didn't realize this was a Sean Lennon band at first, though the name sounded familiar; I've heard a couple of their songs on my local public radio station before. Kinda reminds me of Belle and Sebastian; Equal parts dancey and dreamy, with a bit of a French pop influence too.

Organisation by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - Heard a bit of this one before too. Anything with heavy synths are very easy for me to listen to; I love the spacey, otherworldly nature of it all. Stanlow even takes it so far that it kind of reminds me of something off Kraftwerk's Autobahn.
