California is more than just LA and San Fran, the heavy restrictions were really only enforced on this bigger areas, and as someone already said, we have many Trumper counties, many of which dont give a fuck. California is big enough to be its own country. The area I live in (which is fairly liberal) doesnt really have an issue with people wearing masks or staying home. As a result, cases arent terribly high here at all. Not to say its a utopia but people actually care around me, thankfully.

LA liberals just dgaf.

Huge underground and back door parties going on all over the county, gotta get fresh prices for the gram.

Thanksgiving and Christmas, maybe New Year. People still went shopping over the holidays, stores were packed, and people still had family gatherings, somethings just don't change. Probably will get much better now just because there's nothing happening and Valentine's Day is the only big thing coming up.

My neighbors had a Christmas Eve party with a DJ and a quinceanera earlier in the month. Both had a ton of people.

Also, everyone around here has multiple adults (4-8 ) per house that all work. Once one person is sick, the whole house is sick. I think people are really underestimating the effect of having so many people in each house. All the poor people in LA are pretty screwed right now.

Im in the Bay Area, the restaurants are closed & people are wearing masks. But the big store chains still get crowded and they dont bother to limit the number of entrants. And I keep seeing groups of people shopping around, like couples with all their kids.

Reporting from Imperial County here(2nd worst per capita), people here gathered for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and now New Years. The Christmas spike is going to hit later this week. Unfortunately the hospitals are about 90% full due to the Thanksgiving cases. I don't know where they will fit everyone. The only reason our #s went down in summer was because after 4th of July there were no holidays thus no get together. This is a heavily Hispanic community and with that come other holidays throughout the year that are not celebrated here in the US. County goes blue, btw.
