I've only played a bit of the first one, but I'm interested in going through all of them. After that huge controversy over the ending of 3 and the fuck ups of Andromeda, that put me off though.

I should have liked 2 because it was al about just going around helping people bjg it got boring and I couldn't finish it

yeah, there's supposed to be a series remaster releasing in 2021.

and andromeda isn't horrible, but the game is absolutely the weakest mass effect game in the series.

Yes. The first might seem a bit outdated however I consider it the best one after replaying the trilogy earlier this year.

Yes, I replay it annually. Honestly, the combat gets better with each entry, however, some design choices are so-so. But I'd recommend holding off until the Legendary Edition.

Damn that's actually exciting. It's sometimes painful going back to classics now because we're so pampered with modern visuals and QoL improvements. But a remaster gives me hope.

Personally I think 3 is the strongest, its just the last 10 minutes everyone hates. The 30-40 hours or so before that though is great

its very much a varied opinion. games a solid upgrade in the gunplay and combat from 1, and the ending isn't a severe kick in the teeth like 3. but its got the weakest RPG aspects out of all 3 games, the resource scanning is complete crap, and while some of the new cast is great the rest is garbage. for example, one of the new cast is defined by how good her ass looks in her catsuit, and it reminds you of this every time you talk to her because the conversation camera is always a low angle shot with her ass in frame...

Thats such a turn off for me when choosing games. When will devs stop with the dumb fanservice

and the pendulum swings the opposite direction with 3, since i'm pretty sure 90% of conversations with vega involve him without a shirt...

All I remember from 2 was annoying combat encounters and almost running out of ammo almost every time and then doing like The Bachelor thing with all the characters for some reason because that felt like all there was to do in the game. I mean I'm underselling it, you do learn about their backstories and help them find resolution but I got over halfway and I didn't feel a strong connection with what I had done in the original game >_>
