Like holy shit lol I played SF a bit on my old computer but I didn't know I did this bad. These three wins are from the last hour of my play. DBFZ made me an intensely better fighting game player.

Eh, depends on the game. 3s, while not my favorite, has a bunch of ridiculous deep tech. GG and KoF may have higher execution demands, but I wouldn't put that in quite the same place as a learning curve.

My fighting game record in any non mvc3 or skullgirls game was basically 0 - (insert whatever number i got to before deciding fuck it i'm fucking awful at fighting games)

I struggle to recall a time I've ever won against an opponent in MK, SF, or BB

SFV I heard is pretty good for casuals to jump in. SF4 was hard as fuck.

V has the lowest bar to entry by far. Hardest links are still 3f, standing normals are the same at all ranges, v trigger on counterhit reverses the whole damn flow 2 seconds

I like that it's getting people into fightan, but I'm no fan of the game.

SFV would've been dead in the competitive scene, but it survived because they essentially made the game more rush down heavy. Like Ryu was suppose to be a passive shoto fighter is now all of a sudden playing like an aggressive Ken.

The game has autocombos and EXTENSIVE tutorials. And there's rank matchmaking so you'll be paired with other people who are new to the game. There was just a big sale so there should be a decent chunk of new players.
