If you are so worried about "spreading the virus to vulnerable people" then quarantine yourself. But stop expecting everyone else to conform to your morals -- which are much more self-serving than you think.

If you live in a country governed by the rule of law, you already live in a country where people are expected to conform to "someone else's morals".

What bothers me the most, I think, are the amoral sociopaths who say they're actually more "disturbed" by those who want to see the lives of vulnerable people protected than they are by those who don't give a shit about whether or not they kill vulnerable people through their indifference, laziness and selfishness.

2) Even if you don't die, you're likely to get serious permanent damage to your taste/brain/lungs
3) If we took it less seriously, those numbers would be 10 times higher.

The fewer Covid-19 cases in my country, the better for everyone here who needs healthcare services for any reason. And if it means putting up with the minor inconvenience of wearing a mask in a crowded public place until enough people get vaccinated, fine. That's a cheap price to pay. The # of cases has increased 5 fold, and nothing happened. In fact, the rate of death has gone down. (5x increase in cases, but 3x increase in deaths).

Uh. A 3x increase in deaths does not mean the rate of death has gone down... It means it's tripled. Not increasing at the same rate as the number of cases doesn't mean it's going down. I guess you gotta jump through fallacious hoops to back your warped viewpoint though.

The line between "serious" and trolling internet right-wingers is pretty blurred now because, even if they genuinely believe the stuff they say, one of their main guiding principles is shock/agitation value. Hospitals don't operate on a "rate" of sick people dude. They have a fixed capacity integer. Even if the rate of cases ending in deaths is going down, if total cases are still going way up then hospitals can absolutely hit capacity

This. If you don't work in a healthcare facility who have experienced what happens when it is flooded with cases, then I don't give a shit what you think about COVID and its repercussions.

Is it a deadly disease? No. It kills a lot less people than a SHIT ton of other causes. The problem is that it's pretty infectious and people who fall sick then bottleneck the hospitals which causes a plethora of other issues that the fucking peons cannot begin to fathom.

The real numbers of people that dies from covid is about 6% of the "offical" number.

1.5 million dead from TB in 2018
1.4 million dead from TB in 2019
10 million cases both years.

Covid = 99.996% survival rate worldwide. 94% of those dead over the age of 70. Average age of death 86.

Lets lock ourselves in the house indefinitely!
