I'll forgive it if they remake the game and fully redeem themselves from that disaster we call the 2nd disc.

Definitely not just you. People here would rather apply violent punishment to those that they disagree with or have done something they deem "unforgivable" rather than rehabilitate, ironically even when they talk about rehabilitation in the justice system.
I feel like having this kind of malice don't make you that much better than the opposition.

Many people today are vindictive and don't want or care to see people change for the better. They would rather complain and judge people for their wrong doings than see then recover from their problems and be helpful members of society.

Murder and rape are obviously irredeemable acts of terror and no one affected should be expected to forgive the perpetrators of such violence, but for anyone stealing something, being racist, saying something wrong, etc we should surely want to help these people see the error of their ways and guide them into a better place.

I don't know if people have always been this way, or if social media is contributing to it. But yes. I grew up being taught about the virtues of forgiveness, but now forgiveness is seen as a bad thing.

Yeah. I guess that's how a lot of humanity is. Public executions used to be popular, and now you can tell which people would still enjoy them if they happened today.

This is a good a topic as any to discuss forgiveness.

I think the person being forgiven has just as much responsibility as the person doing the forgiving. Forgiveness is a good thing, but a forgiven person who just continues to do bad things (especially if it is the exact thing that was forgiven) ruins any benefit the forgiveness had and doesn't even deserve to be forgiven.

That doesn't mean people should seek to find reasons not to have to forgive others either. Forgiveness is a tool to lessen hatred and make everyone better people.

It's social media causing the vindictive and sometimes bloodthirsty behavior, I seen a photo of some Antifa sign that said "We don't want Biden, we want revenge" literal disrespect of America and bloodthirstiness on display.

IMO, things like this is taking steps backwards. I dislike Trump, his cabinets of idiots and his followers a fuck ton too but if I can convert and change anyone of them then I would much rather do that. The ones that won't change can live in their bubble and think they're happy.

This pretty much but a lot of people here don't believe in that. While it's true that it's super hard for anyone to change, you shouldn't absolutely close your mind that someone can change for the better.

You can only forgive people so much and somethings are unforgiveable. Some people are out of control and will go on hurting others, so they don't need forgiveness, but instead need tough love, even if it's the last lesson they learn in some cases.

It all depends on what they did, for minor crimes yes people need to forgive but things like rape and horrible murder( NOT self defense or in defense of someone else) are a just put them to the sword.

One size does not fit all so each crime needs to be judged on a case by case basis but not everyone should be forgiven if they did something horrible.

Do some of yall know the story of Stanley Tookie Williams? He was a crip leader and murdered people. While in prison, he turned a new leaf and became a much better person. He appealed many times to not be executed but in the end his appeals were all denied. Do you think he redeemed himself or naw?

Nope, and from the sound of things I don't really care because he was a murdering scumbag gangbanger and did somethings that are unforgiveable. Too bad he was dumb and only learned his lesson after he threw his life away, was behind bars and on borrowed time.

While there is truth to this at the same time witholding forgiveness can sometime have nothing to do with a superiority complex. Somethings just can't be forgiven.

@Veggeta_X
The fact he only turned over a new leaf in prison after killing people is exactly why most people do not care. He could have turned over a new leaf BEFORE he killed anyone.

Instead of being a scum bag gangbanger he could have discovered jesus or found enlightenment before making the choices he did that ended lives.

People have a choice to be an upright person or turn to crime, and even if they turn to crime they again have the choice to be violent, take life, or be a non violent criminal.
