My late cat was a light orange (the vet listed his color as "buff") tabby and he was incredibly smart. He knew when it was time to go to the vet and he would hide. He could sense when it was bath time (even if I kept all the stuff in the bathroom and didn't start running the water til he was in there) and make himself scarce. He would meow once it was his dinner time and chew you out if you stayed up too late. Once, I cornered him behind the couch with the other end blocked off because I needed to catch him and this elderly, declawed (sidenote y'all, don't declaw your cats, it's like cutting off the last segment of your finger for them and it caused lifelong health problems for him) cat somehow jumped/scrambled up the back of the couch to get away. On the flipside, my gray cat is dumb as a sack of hammers. No thoughts, head completely empty, but heart very full of love. I could be bathing the other cat, who would be yowling at the top of his lungs like he was being tortured, and then open the bathroom door to find the gray one just sitting there. My bulbul prefers to either stay in its cage or on some high places in the kitchen; hes too cowardly to explore any further lol. Unlike my bulbul who prefers to just sit up high all day, the lovebird would explore and walk around on things. I was terrified she was about to break her jaw. She bit and scratched when I tried to put the little medical boots on her paws and shook them off. She is absolutely exhausting me.
